How to calculate today's life index?
The four indices come from the four self-assessment questions you selected. Understand how the scores of 1 to 5 are converted, and the true meaning of rest requirements, yesterday's difference, and date change.
Solve each of the four problems separately.
Today's energy, social engagement, willingness to act, and need for rest are each represented by a corresponding question about your current feelings. Each question is scored from 1 to 5 points, calculated using the formula (answer - 1) × 25, resulting in scores of 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 respectively. The four questions are not weighted and are not combined into a single total score.
For example, if the answers are 4, 2, 3, and 5 in sequence, the corresponding visual representation is: Mental 75, Social 25, Action 50, and Rest Need 100. This converts your choices into an easy-to-read scale, not a random estimate based on birthday, weather, astrology, or a website.
High need for rest, not poor performance.
Selecting option 5 for "I really want to have time to rest" gives a rest requirement of 100. It describes a high need, not a reverse score to "very energetic." Having an energy level of 75 and a rest requirement of 100 on the same day is not contradictory: you might be in good spirits but still want to reserve uninterrupted time.
There are no ideal answers for the four indices, and you don't need to select high scores for all of them just to appear positive. This is not a validated psychological scale, nor does it provide a diagnosis of mental or physical condition; the purpose of selecting these indices is simply to record how you feel at the moment.
Yesterday's comparison only uses the real yesterday.
Assuming yesterday's energy level was 3, it's equivalent to 50; today's energy level is 4, equivalent to 75, the difference is +25. If no value was filled in yesterday, today's value won't be used to represent yesterday's energy level, nor will a random upward arrow be generated.
The comparison requires that the previous day's self-assessment be still readable in the same browser. Clearing data, switching browsers, or not saving yesterday's answer may result in a blank value for the difference. A blank value indicates a lack of comparison data, but does not mean that the situation has not changed.
Taipei date change and modification on the same day
Dates are determined by Taipei time. A new day begins after midnight; if you haven't answered today, leave the page blank; do not pass yesterday's scores on today's scores. If the page has been open for an extended period, please check the date and status upon returning.
You can fill in four questions again and update them on the same day; the latest answer of the day replaces the previous answer of the day, so this is not an hourly tracking chart. If you want to record "tired in the morning and better in the afternoon", you can keep two time points in your own notes.
Self-assessment: Not participating in the research selection
Today's social energy level is 25%, so the model won't automatically keep you from going out. Question selection, meal planning, and mock voting are separate processes. If you want to incorporate your feelings into your actual decision, you need to narrow down your choices yourself, for example, by only selecting affordable small activities.
The four optional questions were not uploaded to this site's server. The save switch is shared with the research record: when enabled, it remains in this browser; when disabled, new answers are only stored in the current page's memory; a maximum of about thirty self-assessments are retained locally. This scoring instruction uses the site's current formula and does not claim medical or psychological validity.
