Research Methods
What does our institute research?
MOOSSin, the Institute for Life Decision-Making, packages everyday hesitations into a serious research report. You can ask routine questions in nine departments, choose "yes/no," select alternatives, or decide what to eat today, and then let three to six simulation models vote.
How the six models work
Tarot, I Ching, Renoman, Pendulum, Divination by Tossing Divination Tablets, and Life Oracles are all entertainment simulations designed by our firm. The program randomly selects candidates and assigns corresponding symbols and original text. It does not use generative AI, nor does it understand the full meaning of the questions. The symbols and selections do not constitute a traditional divination procedure; the interpretation texts are original to our firm and do not quote or rewrite classic texts.

Plum Blossom Divination Calculate the original hexagram, the mutual hexagram, and the changing hexagram based on two sets of integers and the time of day; Money Divination Using browser random numbers, three coins are simulated sequentially, and after six hexagram formations, the interpretation is presented according to the rules of the moving lines. These methods follow the complete hexagram-generating rules of the original tool and do not incorporate the voting from the six-model approach on the homepage. The classical texts, analogies, and original project reflections retain their source distinctions. Inputs and results exist only on the current page and are not transmitted or stored.
Percentage is not accuracy.
Percentage of votes in favor = Number of models supporting the winning option ÷ Number of models present in this round, including those with reservations. A tie or all models with reservations will display "No consensus yet." Percentages only describe the results of this round of selection and cannot be used to infer future outcomes, model reliability, or the probability of the outcome.
Daily Life Index
Today's energy, social engagement, willingness to act, and rest needs are based on four self-assessment questions you selected. Each question is scored from 1 to 5 points, converted to 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 using the formula (answer - 1) × 25. Leave blank if incomplete; no automatic guessing will be provided. Only saved versions of yesterday's self-assessment will show the actual difference between today's and yesterday's scores. Dates are in Taipei time; re-enter each day. This is a simple scale of self-perception, not a validated psychological scale or diagnosis, and is not used in model selection.
No selection will be made for major issues.
Serious issues such as health, medication, law, investment, violence, and personal safety are not suitable for divination. This site uses limited keyword filtering and cannot identify all statements or situations; even if a question is not blocked, it does not mean it is suitable for divination. Please make your own judgment and seek appropriate professional assistance.
What to eat today?
The menu consists of 43 original dishes with ingredient labels. It considers factors such as budget, eating style, dietary restrictions (e.g., no dietary restrictions on ingredients or spicy foods), and then selects up to three candidate dishes for the model to vote on. The model does not consider location, restaurant search, or real-time prices. A completely vegetarian diet excludes meat, fish, shellfish, eggs, dairy, and the five pungent vegetables (vegan, pungent, and spicy foods). Lacto-vegan, ovo-vegan, and lacto-ovo-vegan diets specify dairy, eggs, or both, and also exclude the five pungent vegetables. Seafood restriction includes fish, shellfish, and crustaceans. If no suitable dishes are found, you will be asked to adjust the menu; the restrictions will not be relaxed automatically. The dish descriptions specify the cooking method, and the actual ingredients cannot be guaranteed. Please confirm vegetarian options, allergen information, and prices with the restaurant.
Problem Examples and Records
Each department has 12 original sample questions. Clicking on a question will fill in the question and the appropriate format or options. Simply switching departments will retain the questions you manually wrote. The homepage records can be saved in the same browser, up to 50 records from the last 30 days. Reviewing these records will show the original results without re-selection. You can turn off saving, delete records individually, or clear all records; data will not be synced to other devices.
